We are pleased to say that after a few dry months, Wine Club is now up and running once again. We celebrated with our Annual Picnic in The Pavilion on a beautiful Summers Evening. It was so good to see all of our friends once more and share a glass or two. Thanks to Ray and his guitar and everyone who sang along!
Established for over 40 years and run by members, we have grown into a real community group. It’s a great starting place to meet other people in the Village so we would highly recommend our Wine Club to newcomers.
Come for a Taster Evening as our guest and try us out for just £5 payable on the night.
We are a great mix of friendly Gotherington (and beyond) folk who enjoy a few glasses of wine together followed by a light ploughman’s supper. It’s a non-profitmaking social evening of fun, in a very relaxed atmosphere, which is centred around a different wine related topic each time. We meet once a month (3rd Tuesday of the month 7.45pm for 8pm start) in the Village Hall. We are not stuffy in any way – we don’t sell wines and we certainly don’t offer spittoons!

2019 Annual Summer Picnic on Freeman Field…
What a fabulous evening we had, everyone excelled themselves and the food was delicious. It was made even more special by one of our members Ray, who brought along his guitar and some song sheets.
Our 2019 Summer outing to the Black Country Museum..
This years trip to the Black Country Museum was a huge success and great fun. Some people were a little troublesome though and needed a good whack to keep them in order in the Victorian Classroom….Chairman!
Those Mad Hatters again! Always trying it on!
