Parish Church News

This year there will be two opportunities to celebrate Harvest in the villages.  On Sunday 9th September a shorter ‘HARVEST PRAISE!’ service will be held at St Martin de Tours Church, Woolstone at 11.15 am.  This will be a chance to sing well-loved hymns, hear harvest readings, together with a short Harvest presentation and will be suitable for families with younger children.

A more traditional Harvest Festival with Holy Communion will be held at St John’s Church, Oxenton at 11.15 am on Sunday 7th October.

At each service offerings of canned and dried goods will be collected for the local Food Bank.  Current shortages include long life milk, tinned fruit, tinned tomatoes, sponge puddings, crumble mix, rice pudding, pasta sauce in jars and cartons of custard.  Please ensure items have at least 3 months before the ‘Best Before’ date.

As always, all are welcome and we look forward to seeing you.
